Sayonara! We did get the tailwind we were promised. 11 hours to Chicago, 3.5 to Dallas, .5 to Austin. Instinctively I bowed to someone in the line at a bagel shop at O'Hare. Bowing is one of my favorite customs in Japan - and even more than the awkward person to person bow battles are the bows employees do when entering the room / department store floor / train car. A general threshold acknowledgment to everyone at once and to no one in particular. Threshold conditions ... moving from one place to another ... Mmmmmm.

Nice catwalk lets visiters see the guts of the building
Goodbye dinner where David blames the success of the trip on the students and Megumi, Megumi blames the success of the trip on David and the students, and we students blame the success of the trip on David and Megumi.
